🗽 Fresh Finds 🗽
#1 🍗 COQODAQ

The name of this restaurant took me forever to learn how to spell. But this is the BEST FRIED CHICKEN in the city, hands down.
The concept: Korean-American fried chicken elevated to a destination dining experience — not just wings in a bucket, but a full story around the chicken, the setting, the beverage program
It was opened in early 2024 by Simon Kim, the group behind Michelin-starred COTE Korean Steakhouse… but you can actually get a res here.
What's more surprising is the ambiance and design. This looks nothing like what you would expect from a fried chicken place. In fact, it's pretty high-end classy, great for a date night spot, and the fried chicken bucket combo is only ~$40.
Someone told me their technique and the type of oil they use makes the chicken healthy, too. Not sure if it's a myth.
I might start coming every week. Check it out.
#2 🧖 Atoboy

Not just another fine dining Korean place. Funny enough, this place is known for its fried chicken, too.
I did their tasting menu for ~$75, and tried the sea urchin (amazing), fluke (ok), sweet shrimp (ok), pork galbi (amazing), and fried chicken (solid). I loved my experience there and was mind-blown. I recommended it to friends who loved it too
You can't tell from the picture, but the vibe + ambience is underrated. It reminds me of an experimental open kitchen, the type of place you would find in a place like Berlin.
#3 🧖 noreetuh

I took my team here the other night. This modern Hawaiian restaurant in East Village is supposed to be fairly affordable ($30-50 a head), but it was so good I ended up spending about $300.
They're known for their musubi – popular Hawaiian snacks made with rice and ingredients wrapped in a sheet of nori seaweed, and have a vast menu ranging from the standard Spam to Hokkaido uni and scallop with caviar.
I don't know of any other Hawaiian place in the city, and this has become my go-to.
Great for sharing a meal with friends.
I’m curious—what did you think of today’s edition? Hit ‘reply’ and share your feedback—I’d love to hear it!
