🏅 New York’s Most Esteemed🏅
What makes someone New York’s Most Esteemed? Vision, grit, and a relentless drive to make something meaningful. Every month, we’ll feature an extraordinary person in the tech and business community who’s shaping the future of New York and beyond.
From founders building the next big thing to investors backing game-changing ideas, these are the faces to watch in New York’s tech ecosystem.
February’s Most Esteemed is: Jesse Warren!
Jesse Warren is the Co-Founder of Socially Inept (Tech Roast Show).
It’s a show where comedians take hilarious jabs at techies—and if you work in tech, you’ve probably heard of them. I got a firsthand taste when my mixers and I were roasted for two hours straight on their podcast (airing soon, I think?). Jesse and the Tech Roast Show just moved to NYC, so don’t be surprised if he makes an appearance at one of my events. Check out his bio below!

His brag:
In addition to selling tens of thousands of tickets in the US each year, we sold over 10,000 tickets on our recent tour of India! Pretty wild to see something you build blossom in a market you never expected to hit.
What he can help others with:
I grew up never having even dabbled in the arts. I only ever did software until I was 25 and it felt super weird trying comedy without any background in performance. But I've found that my engineering/entrepreneurial background helped me immensely in growing as a performer and anyone in tech curious about trying something performative can leverage their background to develop much faster than usual. If this is at all interesting I can give some tips on where to start!
His favorite local establishment in NYC:
His best piece of advice:
Write down every idea you ever have. Make the barrier to writing it frictionless so you don't think twice (I have an Apple Watch and just tell Siri to save it in Evernote). Once a week go through these and save the good ones.

🗽 Fresh Finds 🗽
#1 🍽️ The View

The View just reopened. It's this bizarre revolving restaurant and lounge atop the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group recently revamped it, so now you can enjoy prime rib and seafood towers while taking in 360-degree views of the city. There’s live music every night, and the restaurant even rotates, giving you a 360-degree view of the city. I came here last night for Valentine’s!
#2 💃 Love Struck

If Cirque du Soleil had a wild, seductive alter ego, Airotic Cirque Soirée would be it. Expect aerial acrobatics combined with burlesque energy.
P.S. check out this legendary TED talk by my friend Nick Gray called “How I learned to stop hating and love musuems”.
#3 🍸 Monsieur

Monsieur is a French-inspired speakeasy that combines old-world elegance with a playful sense of late-night vibes. Expect live jazz, candlelit corners, and a solid cocktail (and mocktail) menu, it’s the kind of spot that feels like a secret…until you realize everyone cool already knows about it.
I’m curious—what did you think of today’s edition? Hit ‘reply’ and share your feedback—I’d love to hear it!
